Hi Folks

Have found the forums really useful and hoping for just a little more info please!

We got an agreement in principle from Natwest last Thursday. We are using a recommended broker and he done the application for us at home. I've now heard this may have involved a "hard" credit check by NatWest as opposed to a soft search if I had done this myself.

Does this make any sort of difference in real terms as this stage of the game? Or am I reading too much into this!

Remaining bank statements were sent off yesterday to broker and he was forwarding on to Natwest so hoping to hear reasonably soon.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/advice etc

James

A hard search through the broker's software platform will be more reliable than a soft search, so I'd be more confident of my creditworthiness as a result of a hard search.

If you've nothing to hide then you should have no concerns regarding a full credit check.
