It seems like the people who think it's justifiable to spend so much money on a wedding consider it an essential part of life.
Personally I don't think you need to have a wedding just to prove how much you love your partner and getting married just because your pregnant is ridiculous!. I can understand that people might want a wedding so they can see all their family. But I would hate to be in that position!. All my family regularly get together for meals and gatherings without their having to be a wedding.
My parents were never married and are still together after over 30 years. So I think that shows more commitment than couples who stay together just because they are married.
But I'm not saying I wouldn't get married because i like parties and it would be enjoyable. But I definetly wouldn't get into debt for a party!.
But if anyone is getting married then surely the father of the bride should be paying for it anyway! .0
