Hi there. I was looking for advice or if someone could steer me in the right direction. My home I bought when I was 19, I am now 32. I have nine years on my mortgage left approx. My house is a bit dated and really want to do home improvements. I have poor credit history and I would like to know how I can get money back from my home to do these improvements. My house has gone up in price by roughly 40,000. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

There are various ways but they will all depend on your circumstances. Bad credit means different things to different people, some its the odd late payment, others think defaults are fine.
Speak to a broker as it could be a remortgage or it could be a second charge but without knowing the finer details of what and when its impossible to say.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
