It's a bit difficult to advise without knowing the full financial situation, but I certainly would not rush into an IVA just yet.
IVA's are sold by these fee charging debt management companies because they earn them Hugh profits from the IP fees, an IVA is not always the best option and you should get free unbiased advice from one of the free debt charities first, either stepchange, pay plan, or National Debt-line.
As regards the CCJ, contacting the court is the best way to find out, you won't initiate any bayliff activity, only the creditor can apply to the court for them to attend, they will be able to clear up your concerns over this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
