Which loan to apply for?
Hi everyone,
I have an excellent credit score and I want to apply for a loan.
I've done the soft search on this site and there are a few options...
So, do I go for the loan that offers a rep apr of 3.8%, which I have 90% chance of being accepted
or do I go for the one which I have 70% chance of being accepted but is 3.4% apr?
I am looking for a 10k loan over 4 years.
I have no reason to believe that I will be rejected by either and obviously wish to secure the lowest rate.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
TIA!

If you have tried your bank already, pick any one of the lowest advertised rate loans.
Do read up on some threads on here though, as many people do not get the headline rate and get very upset !0 -
Whoever gave you the excellent credit score maybe you should ask them as they seem to favour you as a customer.0

Don't bank on getting a low rate.
It's up to the lenders if they want or need your business0 -
Thank you.
Sounds daft, but how do I know who gave me the good credit score?
I can only see my score from Experian, didn't know you could see who had scored you highly?
I have banked with Barclays for 20+ years, have a loan and credit card with them.
Mortgage with Halifax and one store card with a nil balance.
thanks0 -

I would try either Halifax or Barclays, but you already have a loan and credit card with barclays so not sure how that would work.
You wont know how banks score you until you get a decline or acceptance letter.0 -

I was joking with you, lenders don't see your score so its meaningless/has no point. Your credit history is what is important.
Speak to your own bank.
What rate you get depends on the amount you want to borrow, if you have current loans, credit cards, your salary, any unpaid debts or ccj's and other factors.0
