LLoyds rejected DMP offer

Hi,
Wondering if someone can help as Payplan are taking an age to answer email queries at the moment.

I've logged into my Payplan system and all my creditors apart from Lloyds have accepted my offered payments via Payplan on a DMP.

When I spoke to Lloyds a few weeks ago they informed me they were passing this account to collections which they couldnt tell me at the time if this would be internal or external. I've not heard anything else from them.

Has anyone had experience of them rejecting offers and can tell me what happens next.

Many thanks

    Hi,

Creditors have several levels to them, different depts all with there own acceptance criteria.
Your account been passed to collections is normal, they have discretion to accept lower payments than normal.

Makes no difference if they accept or not, pay plan will pay them anyway, if there not happy, they will just sell on the debt, and pay plan would offer the same to the new owner.

Happens a lot, it's very common, and nothing to worry about.

from my own experience, lloyds did exactly the same with me.
i had a credit card /current account they accepted the dmp in the end but were always asking for reviews every six months via letters
out of all my creditors they were the worst and they have never sold any of my debts on
i am now in to my 7th year with stepchange
just another note which i didnt realise at the time they were the last to default me which as you can see most of my defaults have passed the 6 year default date with the exception of lloyds !
  • Thanks very much for your replies, its put my mind at rest. I did start to wonder if they rejected it what terrible things could happen next!
They have been the worst to deal with regarding endless telephone calls, letters, emails ect.

    Kind regards,
    Betty
