Does your workplace employ them as pension advisors?0

Yes, they are a large well-known pensions services company. They offer pensions administration, actuarial services, investment advice, etc. What has probably happened is that they do the day-to-day running of a pension scheme in which you have benefits via your current/previous employer, and they are writing to you to tell you something about your pension benefits (or to check that their records are accurate for when they later need to tell you something about your pension benefits).I am a Technical Analyst at a third-party pension administration company. My job is to interpret rules and legislation and provide technical guidance, but I am not a lawyer or a qualified advisor of any kind and anything I say on these boards is my opinion only.0
