Hi guys,
I am after some advice regarding an old ccj, ill start by telling you a bit of how i come to receive one. I worked for a company and when i left them i received a letter demanding money for damage to tools that were on the van, i wrote back saying i hadnt damaged anything and didnt hear anything back, this was in 2009. Then in 2010 i had a credit check done and was informed i had a ccj issued in dec 2009 but i hadnt had any paper work to inform me i was being taken to court. Like a fool i buried my head in the sand when i should have challenged it. Any way fast forward 6 years and the ccj unsatisfied has come off my file (i wasnt going to pay a unfair ccj and the company never contacted me in 6 years) i then found out the company had gone into liquidation which made me happy i must say.
My question is, can the ccj reappear on my credit file by the liquidator doing so or are they likely to even know about the ccj?

Hi,
Unlikely now, seen as the company is liquidated.
If anyone did try to enforce the CCJ, as more than 6 years gave passed, they would have to go back to court in order to seek permission from the court, to enforce it, 6 years is usually adequate for that purpose, they would need a very good reason as to why they hadn't enforced it previously.
I would say with a large degree of optimism that you probebly won't hear about this again !!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi, thanks for the reply. On companies house the company is still in liquidation and not yet disolved. If they did realise there was an unsatisfied ccj linked to the company would i be contacted or made aware that they were taking me to court. Dont wanna log on to experian and see another ccj, would be soul destroying.0

As I said, they would need to go back to court in order to enforce it, after more than 6 years it's EXTREAMLY unlikely to be granted.
That's the best I can tell you !!
You can't get another CCJ for the same debt, 6 years after it was registered, it's gone for good !!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
