Hi,
I know there are a 1001 threads on hampers, but was wondering if anyone has a good idea of what to use instead of a basket for a hamper for a 16 year old boy - just thought a basket might be a bit uncool/ twee.
Thanks,
Niki

How about a cd box?....
I bought a stiff cardboard one from wilkos last year for £1.99, I'm not sure whats about this year though. My son actually keeps his paperwork in it rather than cds though.0 -
How about a cheap holdall/back pack.......I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0

How about just a plain old cardboard box covered in wrapping paper? I'm sure he won't notice what it comes in, just what's insideCos I don't shine if you don't shine.0

Depends how much you want to spend but something like this is useful as well as being teenager safe! They are about £200

Found this whilst browsing last night, might be useful for someone who is doing a night in hamper or sweeties one.
http://dotcomgiftshop.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?page=3...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Sorry it did work when I posted it as I checked!
If you go to the kitchen sub section on the left and work through the pages there will be one that comes up with melamine bowls decorated with things like liquorice allsorts, pretzels, jelly beans.
The website is www.dotcomgiftshop.com
The bowls are on pages 7 and 8....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

what's the theme of the hamper? We might be able to come up with something linked.0

What about a wastepaper bin for his bedroom for the 'hamper ' ? Mind you when did a teenager ever put his rubbish anywhere but the floor lol !Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
