Need advice re decree

Hey folks, I'm needing some advice regarding what I should do here.
I have very recently (very end of January) had a decree (I'm in Scotland) registered against myself. The amount was £300-odd.
I am unemployed however do have a couple of hundred saved up. I do also have a CC with a small limit (£200) for emergencies. The balance on this is zero at the moment.
The money advice service at my local council is trying to setup a repayment agreement with the company that got the decree against me.
Should I pay off the decree? I could afford it if I use savings and use some of the CC. I understand that if I do it within 30 days the decree stays off credit file.
Or should I stick with the repayment agreement route, take the hit on credit file? How would this affect other credit agreements? (i.e. the CC)
Thanks in advance folks
Edit: I am assuming that a decree was issued. I did not attend as I was advised that I did not need to as I was not challenging whether I owed it. I did a search for myself on trustonline.org.uk but it said there was no records. (I'm guessing it does not update straight away)

If you don't want to be blacklisted for credit for 6 years then get it paid. You might also want to have an overhaul of finances in general if there is anything else outstanding where this could happen.0
