Missing prize from Mag dailies, anyone else?

On Dec 14th I had a wem from Marie Claire to say I'd won a Mont Blanc fragrance from their daily comps.
It was the usual wording, if you don't hear within 28 working days contact PR address given and copy in dmri email. I'd heard nothing so a couple of weeks ago emailed them expecting to get a reply as I have done in the past when this has happened. No reply came so after another week I messaged Marie Claire on FB and twitter politely asking if they could look into it. I also filled in the contact us form on their website. Still no reply from anyone.
I know there were a lot of fragrance comps on the site before Christmas and wondered if anyone else won and has got their prize or is having problems.
Yesterday I filled in the contact form again saying that if I didn't hear from anyone I would have to contact the ASA.
I would rather not do that though so wondered if anyone had any suggestions.

hi, have you checked your profile to see if they have the correct address for you,
not long ago mine had defaulted with an extra number for some reason giving my address as a different number,
I contacted marieclaire twice who said they had amended it
but each time I checked back it still had the extra number,
& it still kept defaulting,
apparently the prize had been sent to the other address,
I had to contact the pr company etc & send them
details of where the fault is laying on the marieclaire site
& assurance of my contact details,
I eventually got my prize thanks to the pr
company dealing with it,
may not be the case for you but have a look just in case xplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
I won one of their fragrance competitions too. I have not received mine either.
I have sent them an email chasing. To the address specified in the WEM and copying in every other email address they supplied.
I only sent it yesterday, as my experience in the past has been that prizes take ages to arrive. They said to allow 28 working days and I figured I would discount the entire week between Christmas Eve and the first week of January.0 -
I've just checked my address and it's correct so not that.
Thanks for the suggestion though:)0 -
In the future, try this:
As soon as you receive the WEM from dmri, send a "thankyou" email to the PR company contact they give you, saying something like "Thrilled to have won a xxxxx in the xxxxxx competition and I am looking forward to receiving the prize". It avoids the potential problem where the PR company says it has not received details from dmri, and also verifies that the PR company email address is correct and live.0 -
I've had prizes take up to 3 month to arrive from mag dailiesproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

In the past I've had prizes take a while too but they have always replied to emails. It's the fact that they are completely ignoring me that is annoying, is this normal?0

I find it so annoying when these PR people just don't reply. I often think I'd make a far better job of it.:) They are either fantastic or rubbish. Not a lot in between. I feel your pain, it gets to the point its not about the prize but the fact they just don't reply. It certainly winds me up.0

Last year I won £100 of vouchers from mag dailies that never turned up, yet the PR company insisted they'd been sent out. I do wonder if someone somewhere along the delivery process helped themselves to the vouchers!0

Haven't won of the dailies for some time, but I know that when I did 4-6 weeks was standard.
And whoever was doing the notifications to winners and the prize provider only seemed to be in on certain days to respond to emails.0 -
I won the same prize and have not received it yet either.Close your eyes and tap your heels together three times and think to yourself There's No Place Like Home.0
