I agree! If you search enough you can find them by trial and error. Towns with high student populations seem to have them more often.

could not agree more my local cashpoint never has any ten pound notes so have to take out £20 and it the only cashpoint for ten miles0

Another Yorkie here! I have to agree that cash machines near universities seem to have £5 notes in them!
I often get cash out at the post office these days as I have an account with lloyds. Beauty is you can ask for whatever you want

I can also confirm that University campus ATM's alway seem to have fivers (and long queues of students :beer: ).LBM July 2006 debt 1st August 20060

I've not seen a cashpoint dispensing fivers in years, the last one was lloyds banks machine in Bognor Regis.
There are machines in London that don't do smaller than a £20 note, lets hope that doesn't become the norm.0 -
