Oil on carpet

Hi, I had a man in doing some jobs & he moved the body oil from my dressing table, left it on the carpet, cat knocked it over & some seeped out. The span is about 8 inches diameter.
First thing, I guess kitchen towel until it comes back dry.
Then what!
It's a pale beige wool 80% carpet.

You could use an old towel with something heavy on top of it to absorb most of the oil. Then sprinkle some cat litter on top of the oil to absorb it over about 24 hours then vacuum up."This site is addictive!"
