I began doing one of these in about August/September 2004. It was extremely tedious, overly detailed and extremely time-consuming.

For example, say you had some orange juice for breakfast it would ask you to choose what brand it was, where it was purchased, why you purchased it, how much you consumed at that particular time, why you consmed it, what time you consumed it........and some more things that I can't quite remember given how long ago it was. It wasn't a very well laid out booklet either - going back and forth finding different sections - very infuriating.

I just remember working out that it was probably equal to me earning under £1 per/hr so I gave it up after a few days. To put it in to perspective, i'd being delivering the local papers to 300 houses on a weekly basis at the same time and found that a better way of picking up money!

With any luck they've modified it now and it'll be easier, but just thought i'd tell of my experience.

I signed up to do one of the food diaries, following an incredibly long and boring survey on vegetables, LOL! Ah well, I think mine is online at least and the £15 will be handy before Christmas.
