child benefit and income and how to lower income

Hello, looking for som help please.

My partner will be a few k over child benefit threshold.

From reading here, we understand that on salary sacrifice you can increase pension contributions which will allow income to be below threshold. My partner does not seem to have this option though working for the local authority. Would this work differently? Could anyone advise income could be reduced as it will probably only apply this year.

She might consider opening a simple stakeholder and paying the required amount into it?
