Creditor clean up - this is getting annoying now
Comments
-
Sorry, me again. I think my clean up is almost complete. Whoop Whoop!
There are two creditors on experian though, who have altered the dates but have not shown that the account is settled or partially settled. Instead they have updated the Default Satisfaction Date to be no later than my discharge date.
Is this sufficient? The others on my file still have an account status of default but a separate heading to say "settled" or "partially settled" along with the Default Satisfaction Date included.
Are they all ok?
Thanks again0 -
Yes, that looks OK.

Maybe too good to be true lol
Ok checked the file after clean up. Things seem to be ok.
However I have noticed that capital one were the last ones to update my file. They have recorded a credit search against my file. ( not an identity search).
*** I have not applied to capital one - only to vanquis directly, no one else ***
My question is should they have done this as no other creditor has?
My second question is I'm not applying for anymore credit for a substantial period of time so does the search even matter?0 -
If it's not an application search, only you see it.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi fermi
On experian it is described as a credit card quotation, which I have not asked for.0 -
http://www.experian.co.uk/blogs/consumer-advice/soft-credit-search-guest-post/A “Soft Credit Search”, also known as a “Quotation search” takes a look, a kind of ‘snapshot’, at an individual’s credit report without leaving any footprints visible to lenders when they look at your credit report (you can still see them).Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi thanks for that. I guess that will teach me to look more carefully on these sites before posting on here!
At least it is sorted now. Feels like starting the slow road to recovery
