Its a good price for sausages but these are only 61% meat. Everyone has their own tastes but we like 80% - some if the Debbie Andrews ones are more than this and in edible but 80% is a good compromise........

Goodness! I used to go out with a girl called Debbie Andrews

I know she had an eye for a good sausage, but would never have thought she would turn professional at it!

A question - something I am going to do more research on.

Does anyone have a magazine subscription - hard copies not digital - and if so does your magazine have a subscribers club?

I ask because on the train I found a new copy if Living etc, April edition which for print subscribers has a rewards club, access via a web link, with various discounts each month. Also subscriber competitions which at least will have slightly less entries than the normal mag online draws that get zillions of entries.
Best of all a free latte this month at cafe Thorntons - the photo though looks like a hot chocolate with whipped cream - possibly this is a fill in with your details and subscriber number and print off the form thingy????

Sometimes magazines have good subscription offers eg 3 copies for £5 - only worth doing if you have the self discipline to cancel as soon as your initial £5 goes out.
It would then at least give you access to subscribers clubs for a few months

Not had a look at the mse magazines thread yet, think its on the discount code threads. Ideally it would be good to find a mag with a subscribers club with various offers and comps and also one that sends out the free cover gifts and also a good TCB offer or a good short subscription offer ...

I am pie less - tried a Tesco Metro and our Tesco Extra but neither stock them :(

Other than that and the huge traffic jam on the way home it has been a good day :)

We went to Liverpool Marks as I had my afternoon tea voucher (I am still part of the defunct marks premier club) which was expiring today so we had it there -I always leave it until later unless we go somewhere in February but its OH birthday next week so the timing was good.

Also went to locctaine with the woman and home voucher and got my free little blue pot

yodel man had been when we got home and he had left my box in the porch, very well trained - this was my flowers I won from a facebook competition yesterday afternoon :T
I won some flowers yesterday too, on Twitter. As we're off on holiday on Tuesday I asked if they could be sent when we get back and they said yes, then told me the prize was actually for two lots of flowers, so DH's mum will be getting a nice surprise while we're away :T:T:T

They are actually Debbie & Andrews sausages but we tend to call them Debbie Harry sausages which is bizarre :rotfl:

The premium sausages now are very expensive about £2.50 or thereabouts for 6 and around here they don't go much below £2 in the reduced cabinet. We like Morrison's ordinary sausages but wait for the offer weeks

I know mhoc. I used to look at meat content as the main consideration but feel a bit differently these days. I'm finding the Debbie and Andrews ones a bit heavy going.....verging on tough. Adding rusks or breadcrumbs to sausages is really no different to what I do in my everyday cooking. I add breadcrumbs to meatballs, lentils to soup and carrots and celery to lots of dishes as "padding" to make them go a bit further.

    They are very tasty sausages:)
