Just been to the loo and OH has surpassed himself as the bathroom radiator is also decorated so there is no escape

Last time OH announced that his underwear was thicker than mine so even after 3 days on the radiator it was not dry :rotfl:

Just have to divert any potential weekend visitors or I will die of shame :rotfl:

sock wars has broken out again here :rotfl: You can see why I put off the sock wash now for as long as possible - in the summer when I go bare legged I might put it off for a month to avoid the sock discussion

but this morning the wash basket was full so I had to grit my teeth

So the procedure is I wash them and then OH has to match them up - a fair division of labour you would think

Firstly OH moaned about an odd blue sock so I kindly pointed out that if he emptied the sock hanger that has been in the porch since Christmas then he would have somewhere to dry socks.

There then followed a lot of shouting and swearing - I don't know why OH gets so uptight and annoyed about socks.

Possibly because he only wants to do manly tasks like cleaning the fire and changing the cat litter (and grudgingly fixing the computer when something goes very badly wrong accompanied by a lot of swearing) sorting his own socks does not count as a manly task

I said it would be nice if OH put the dry socks away without leaving them drapped all over radiators all week and me having to remind him.
He said he only has one drawer.
I think most people only have one drawer for socks so I don't know why he would need more than one drawer.
I said I only have one drawer as well.
Actually OH has one drawer but he has also taken to storing socks in the wooden Satsuma crate that we had at Christmas and this lives on the bedroom floor behind the door - no I don't know why.

I said why did he not empty the one drawer he has for socks out completely and then sort it out and then he would have room for all of his socks without needing 3 drawers - this was met with huge contempt.
His bedside drawers are actually a filing cabinet so the drawer is there is a flat drawer and very deep drawer, about twice the depth of a normal one, ideal for the storage of socks
    - no I don't delve into it so I don't know what is in there now

He said why don't I put my underwear away instead of leaving them on the radiators. I said my underwear goes away next morning as soon as its dried and I never leave knickers on radiators - that argument he lost hands down

He said we need another sock drawer as we both wear the same socks now (these were bright coloured ones from marks I got in the sale a couple of years ago so we have very jazzy feet)
I said why would we need 3 drawers just for socks, no one else has

He then said the sock hanger outside was empty apart from a set of underwear - in which case why has he not been using it to hang the socks on.
And no its not empty but he literally cant see that its full.

Then OH having lost all of the other battles resorted to his old favourite "If you were any sort of wife you would hang my socks up for me" :rotfl:
I said so we are now going to go back to the last century and you want to recreate the world of the 1950s and subservient wives do you?

this is part one of sock wars. Part two will be later in the week when I ask OH nicely to remove the socks that have been littering the bathroom radiator since Wednesday ...

Love it - that made me chuckle :rotfl::rotfl:

looking forward to episode 2 x

Evening all hope everyone is well xx

Thanks for the nice messages re dd fall she is in a lot of pain but tablets helping. lucky girl it was not worse.
Found out why she struggled to get a doctors apointment. Apparently emergency measures are in place at the surgery due to o lack of doctors and you can only get appointments if you are acutly ill. how do you know how sick you are the patients are not doctors. Its a worry a lot of ilnesses will be missed .
