First attempt at soup in my new gadget was a disaster
It kept cutting off
I ended up ringing Morphy Richards and lady said if you underfill or overfill  it will be burnt on the bottom and will cut off.
I tipped it out and put into a pan normal way I do it and its nearly ready
Jug thing I tipped stuff out of was burnt on its bum  its now soaking :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Will have to be more careful next time I try it.

I've got the Morphy Richards Saute and Soup Maker. Got it when it was on special in Costco back in January. Absolutely love it, dead easy, and not had a burnt bum yet! :rotfl:
bubbs, any update on bil yet?
I've had a lovely day, but some sad news at the end. Went to London to meet up with a friend that I made in hospital that had same procedure as me. Was really lovely to catch up with her, like me, she has had a pretty trying time with it (different issues but still big problems) and has been diagnosed with PTSD as a result. Anyway, we sat and had lunch in the pub opposite the hospital and put the world to rights. I then took a slow stroll back to Euston, rather than getting the bus, so got some exercise too.
Sad new is that kids great grandmother (their Dad's side of the family) passed away today. Not entirely surprising, she has been in a home for a number of years and gradually got weaker and weaker, she would have been 97 in 2 weeks. Still not nice though. Kids are ok, I phoned my inlaws and had a chat.
LEJC, sending you a hug. And cjj, who writes such lovely posts. Any anyone else that wants one, feeling generous with the hugs today!0 -

For your information:
I like those Tuc Crackers only when they are £1.29 in A:T. However, :(Go Ahead! slices not quite on 67p M price just yet. This does seem to be on Monday since the Tuc Crackers have gone down only then - but will need to wait until at least Thursday, probably Friday, to try to compare the Go Ahead!0 -

How can you say JUST chickens :eek:

I'm not liking the gardening items appearing in Ms more generally now as part of the seasonal aisles. Seems to provide an opportunity for some of the old RTC items, that were still around in one or two stores, to be reinvigorated more generally and to reappear now at much more expensive prices!
I had the Plant Labels appear for me on RTC some weeks ago at some "obscure" store (obviously not obscure at all if that's your own M lol:rotfl:) with 20p SEL. Obviously I did not take the BC details back then as I did not know that different stock could exist and be different prices:doh:. However, the Plant Labels same number are now in M more generally at £1:eek:. A fivefold increase! M Hand Sprayer was on RTC according to the SEL from Lichfield, Staffs., several weeks ago. 25p. However, it was £1 on Saturday when checked in the store in Chapel-en-le-Frith. I think they may have had 99p on the SEL, but I didn't trust it:rotfl: - tried to see if it was 25p but no luck on that one - it scanned at £1! No longer RTC it seems. So beware new items appearing back in M as they may be coming back at too dear at the moment, and also of any "events" that might go on in future. Will likely be a lot cheaper after the event:rotfl:.
There was no need for me to scan the Hand Sprayer after all. It then turned up with £1 SEL in another store that day (not that I would have trusted that SEL had I just seen that:rotfl:) - but I did not know whether I would see the item again or not. I did have luck elsewhere - the M Lunch Bag, marked at £2, still scanned at 38p (not a surprise to me). And I tried the 50p Beldray Mop Refill that had no SEL in my store yesterday (that's where you might find stock:rotfl:) - it was so good that the cashier even seemed to doubt the price before she gave it to me! 50p - as expected. Children's book, marked at £1.50, 68p! (As expected:rotfl::rotfl:, but I did have to check after a while of not seeing any SEL, just in case.) Must have wondered how I knew to go for those two specific items and ask her what the price on them was:rotfl:.0 -
