OK so if it equals zero then:
4x4 + 4x4 + 4 - 4x4 = 0
Subtract 4 from both sides:
4x4 + 4x4 - 4x4 = -4
Simplified:
4 x 4 = -4
Sorry, but no! :rotfl:
If the answer is 20 (which it is):
4x4 + 4x4 + 4 - 4x4 = 20
Subtract 4 from both sides:
4x4 + 4x4 - 4x4 = 16
Simplified:
4 x 4 = 16
We have a winner!
Well, I for one am just simply relieved to have got it right.
50-odd years of being wrong has now been corrected and re-taught by the Elite.

I'm sure plain Diet Coke is sold at M - it just isn't being picked up:(.
There are a few price changes in M today - most of them I think unfavourable:(. So, it's immediately last chance on the Whole Cucumber as M have now put that back up to 48p. The only price collection on which I think it will work (barring the highly unlikely possibility of the APG finding 3 M stores today that have 26p SEL still showing) is the Monday collection, which we are currently on.
I'll probably mention about reduced items that have gone up in price later.
M have also put the loose lemon up to 34p each, going by the SELs I've seen in my Ms today.
The Garlic, that was 11p, has gone straight back up to 30p again:mad:. So, for me, it is 11p only on a Monday:p. Or maybe it's possible it's Monday and Tuesday as I don't visit M on Tuesdays. It would not surprise me though - it may be 30p for the rest of the week now so that weekend shoppers (the busiest shopping days) pay 30p. It's no surprise that Monday and Tuesday are the days on which fewest people shop and therefore they may want people paying full price on other days.
The loose ginger - was £3.93/kg last week, went to £1/kg on Monday, has now gone back to £3.93/kg again!:mad: Nearly quadrupling in price.
I know you're buying Coke. Hopefully not getting caught out by ones that returning N/A. Nonetheless, three different Pepsi 30 pack cans packs in M now are each £5 RTC:rotfl:. Going back to the £5 price that they were on for about three days earlier, before which they were £5.87 for some time. I am not bothering take any notice of the £7 price that they've gone down from - as far as I am concerned that is M just putting it back to the £5 that they pulled away from us earlier, after only two, three or four days, whichever it was (I was not in M on every day so cannot be specific), earlier on.
The Nuage shaving oil, that went to 47p, has now disappeared for me from the stores I've used today, so I'm unable to tell if it is still 47p but it probably is wherever it may still be available.
I don't know about nearly all of the "RTC" ice creams/lollies now. The Maxibon was £1.02; however the only store I have it in today is now showing £1.94:eek:. The Walls X Pop lollies are still showing 91p however (I doubt that they will work). That is now all that I have in my usual stores - there will almost certainly be other ones elsewhere but I no longer have any idea whether they are still at their RTC prices or whether others have increased or it is just the Maxibon that appears to have done so.
The Mentos mints single packets, that were long 43p, do appear to have joined the 2 for £1:(:(. Or, if they have not done that, it seems even worse - now possibly solely 62p! My stores today are not much use - and I have only been able to visit those stores, just two stores, as it is another busy Wednesday with yet another night out:( (:T it's alright though). The one of those two that is even showing the 2 for £1 offer - there are absolutely no individual Mentos mints packets in that store at all. No indication whatsoever of them. I did not find any in the other M either. However, I found a SEL for the original Mentos mints at one of the tills:T (yes, I have to check the individual tills and stand away from them a little or pretend I was just looking:rotfl: - same with the fish counter and delicatessen every time btw:rotfl::rotfl:). No stock anywhere, but SEL says 62p:(. So, because of that, I would say they have certainly increased in price - they used to be around the SS place at 43p (both the original and the Fruits version).
I think the issue arose for me because my main store on Monday - which is showing 2 for £1 right across the shelving - had (and probably still has - unable to visit it today) some of the Mentos mints among the 2 for £1 shelving - the actual label for which says something like "58p-71p any 2 for £1.00" but was showing 43p on the SEL of the Mentos mints so that I did not think it was within the offer. It appears they may not have changed their SEL yet on Monday. So, I conclude, from seeing no Mentos mints at all today, and with only an 'errant' SEL for 62p at one till in one of the two stores today, that they are now 62p and 2 for £1:(. That would be a worse comparison than what they used to be! They were 43p for many months (possibly even several years) up to now - and maybe worked with Wine Gums trigger - I shall be removing them entirely as they are much worse than what they were. I will remove the Mentos Fruits too, even though I have none of them and no SELs for them in any of the three stores across Monday and today: I suspect they too will be 62p and 2 for £1.
I think almost everything that is a price reduction is a price increase! Again - just pull the other one I thought!:rotfl::rotfl:
AB Winter Fruit Crumble (500g) - was £1.68 now £1.47 RTC apparently - though I saw no stock now in the store where a label to that effect has appeared. This product, as far as I know, went completely OOS in that store (and a number of other stores for me) towards the end of the last offer. It continued to be available in another store for me, on that offer at £1 which finished probably Sunday 31 January. So, if it has been £1.68 in the meantime, it has been that for 10 calendar days - less than the 2 weeks guidance that I understood, I may be wrong, to be the case. Now reduced, to clear, to £1.47 - a price more expensive than the £1 offer price a few weeks ago was!
The Thornton's Moments chocolates (250g) are on £2.50 RTC in M. However, they are showing as available in A at £2. So, in that case, the reduced price at M is still more expensive than what you could pay elsewhere! Again, just because it is reduced... [...doesn't mean it is therefore automatically good].
A tannoy came on whilst I was instore, saying there was some "reduced chicken" at the counter... I think I will not be rushing off to the chicken counter... I will still need to check whether I can get some better price elsewhere even if they are saying that they have been "reduced":rotfl:!
Anyway, it's last chance on the Whole Cucumber, that was it seems available for 26p for only two days in M, and also on the individual lemons.
(One of my stores - again, it may be both today on some items but may be one or the other on other items - has the 48p cucumber price on a yellow label. Yellow is being used on a lot of price crunch items. M are undoubtedly hoping that people begin to associate yellow with a price crunch. Nowhere at all does the label for the cucumber say that it is a price crunch. It is therefore not being claimed by M that it is. Just watch out that, when you see yellow labels (I nearly wrote "yellow offer label" myself there:rotfl:) in M, that you don't think "oh, that must be an offer/a price crunch/the price must have gone down". It is the same in one store on the 30p:eek: Garlic - now has 30p on a yellow label. (Gone up from 11p.) They are not price crunch items and do not say that they are. It is just a colour:rotfl:. They have put a yellow label for the ginger at £3.93/kg in one of the stores (so, back to its most expensive price that I have seen it at for the last several years having been £1 per kg for one or two days and went up to that £3.93/kg, that it was on earlier, from £2.93/kg immediately before - probably immediately before as I don't check weekends etc.). In the other store, they have the Turnip at £1.48/kg:eek::eek: on a yellow label (though it is 'ordinary' label in the other store). Was only 50p per kg two or three weeks ago (weeks go by:rotfl:)!)
That's all I can post for now - yet again I have most of the evening elsewhere. See you later!:)
Go get your whole cucumbers, together with your very careful selected Cokes against M, from A, and possibly the loose individual lemon - if that is comparing at all against M.0
