Fantastic deal on the coffee machine! There are a lot of good refurbishing companies out there these days, which is great as you get a good deal and it helps the environment too- it’s win-win all round.

I hear you on the cat litter/letting Oscar out thing too. I’m lucky that ours are happy with the wood chip stuff but we still have to put it in our general waste. Am thinking of getting a hot bin so it can be safely composted (as that was the plan when we were moving). About to attempt to switch ours to pellets though s as they are meant to track less through the house (cat litter drives me up the wall!), so we’ll have to see how we get on with that - one cat is happy to go anywhere, the other runs back in for his litter tray even if he’s in the garden.

Don’t blame you for having concerns about the concert, but if you’ve had the booster the stats seem to be very good about avoiding hospitalisation. But it’sa tough decision to make.

  • Cat litter does seem to just end up all round the house doesn’t it! We hoover everyday but its still everywhere, I swear he just kicks it up for the fun of it :D

With the booster, I think it takes a good few weeks to take effect, and with previously shielding and not going out the house for so long, it feels a bit at odds to go to such a mahoosive venue. Plus the lovely fiance has had a further diagnosis this year of something quite severe so that scares me (and Im sure her too but we dont really mention it, i guess for fear of upsetting the other).

Oh, I totally appreciate where you're coming from with the concert risks - even not being someone who is at risk, I'm definitely less comfortable in crowds these days. Sorry to hear about the additional diagnosis too.

I feel you on the cat litter thing. Mine isn't allowed outside (too many cars here) and the litter situation is just horrid. Am v. jealous of your new coffee maker!
Mine only go in the garden before meal times, so mostly it’s the litter trays…. Litter is so messy!

Im hoping that Oscar wont venture as much. At the in-lasts he only went outside for the last month or so, and would come in as soon as called and stayed in overnight etc. (they dont have a cat flap).

Im really hoping that now he has a cat flap he will want to socialise with us and be all snuggly, but i have a feeling he’ll revert back to going off on his escapades for a few days at a time.

Work has got pretty hectic at the moment; so much to do and not enough time, so I’m making a quick ham & cheese toasted bagel and then back to it. Its good to be busy and feel useful though <3

  • Another frustrated cat litter person here. He tramps it all round the house. He doesn’t go out as he’s a thug and upsets the neighbours so it’s always everywhere. I hoover ever day several times and sweep up round his box 4/5 times a day.

Oh @debtfreeoneday your poor kitty regarded as the neighbourhood thug!

So Oscar has ventured outside a few times this morning; we tried to coax him out but he got all scared and legged it. Left to his own devices he has been in, out, in, out. He just needs to shake it all about and he’s got himself a Hokey Cokey!

The kiddies are on lunch at the school behind the house (separated by a small amount of woodland) so he’s ventured home. Weve decided that when it starts too get dark we will lock the cat flap (once he’s in)  just for the first few nights and then after that he can come and go as he pleases!

The fancy new coffee machine works like an absolute dream! We have the pods I bulk bought from Approved food a few months back so we are having Starbucks blonde and espresso roast at the moment. My first cuppa of the day as a nice creamy latte macchiato which was just spot on! So pleased!

The ring alarm and siren system has now all arrived this morning, so we will try and work out how to install on Sunday.

I went to scuba theory class last night; I’m finding it hard to retain the information so think i need to do a bit more reading in between classes; maybe re-read the previous modules. Im hoping that once we get to the practical parts that things will make more sense to me and fit into place. They are doing a club Christmas meal on the 8th so Im going to go to that; a bit nervous as dont really know anyone but i guess that’s how you get to know people hey!

  • Yeah if we let him out you can guarantee a neighbour comes knocking to say he’s done something in their house / in their garden / to their dog. He’s a large one and doesn’t back off from dogs at all!

Afternoon all, so we ended up going to the concert last night and had a fantastic time! Luckily there was plenty of room for dancing without bumping into people so we felt pretty safe. (We wore masks when we felt we needed to too which helped us feel a little better- although not sure how effective the masks are).

Weve had a talk and are going to just play it by ear with regards to socialising. We have planned to go to the scuba Christmas meal, and we then only have work to go to occasionally and my delivery driving (which i wear a mask for anyways, use hand sanitisers and drop at doors etc) so hopefully that is minimising our risks. However, we will keep an eye on the news and figures and go from there. Its a fine line between being scared to go out the door (possibly irrationally) and being sensible. Trying to find that balance isn’t easy though.

I have driving tonight at 7.30pm. Im super tired already so now sure if that’s boding well, but I will see how the later evening shift works out. I can always curtail it if i dont feel comfortable. Annoyingly I only get one JustEat shift a fortnight usually so im keen to keep the shifts in when i do get granted them.

Weve finally ordered our desks for the home office- managed to use a 10% discount too, so its a little cheaper than expected. They should arrive on Friday so we can build them next weekend.

Prolific is at £3.93 so I’m hopeful I can get another payout this week, and hopefully the money from the two market researches should clear this week too <3
