@themadvix the brownies were pretty amazing. I didn’t realise but GF also got us a box so we shared some last night with her mum after dinner.....OMG.

No wonder my weight is increasing

My hip pain is still causing me issues; taking ibuprofen and trying to move/stretch little and often to ease it. Have promised I will consult docs on Monday if its no better. I’m really hoping it eases through the day so i can gym tonight, go for a longer walk tomorrow and go to hot yoga (first time in SO long) on Sunday.....will have to wait & see.

Chased solicitors yesterday, and just chased again!

For our new house the roof is now on and they are doing electrics and plumbing <3 We’ve asked for a walk round which we should be able to do in the next 3 weeks- how super exciting!!!

Hi all, this weekend we popped over to the estate and saw the roof trusses on and all the scaffolding up, although our excitement was dampened this morning as Redrow have emailed advising of a deadline of 2nd June to have exchanged :(
This should be no issue, however our buyers paid and signed everything on Friday, estate agents called this morning as buyers solicitors contacted them to ask whether we are exchanging and completing same day. Estate agents asked us to call our solicitors to confirm that we are happy to do so but they basically said we haven’t heard anything and therefore have to wait. Ive asked them to chase and CC the estate agents but its closing time and we’ve still not heard GRRRRRR!!

In happier news the cats are settling a lot more now which is lovely, and girlfriend has applied for a new job. She took the current role to get out of a bad situation at our old workplace but the job she does now is tough; ridiculous expectations from the company for the hours they work, a new manager who is stifling the life out of her by micromanaging everything then being really unhelpful and a poor work/life balance.

Ive wanted her to look at other roles for a while but haven’t wanted to push too much as its her job, but i think seeing me at my new job and largely enjoying it has made her realise just how rough her role is, and that its not everything. One role applied for, and hopefully a few more as there seems a lot available at the moment in her specialist area so everything crossed for her :)

Went back to our first hot yoga class this weekend, which was just great! I got a bit overwhelmed at the start; its just so strange being back doing some of the things we used to do (albeit with less people in the class, no touching/hugging/adjusting from teachers etc) so going to book in a session maybe once a week or once a fortnight for the moment and keep going with the gym :)
