Had a fab, if slightly indulgent two days in London. Found a fabunderground vintage bar with session singers that we went to on Sunday- multiple cocktails and a London-sized bar bill meant a fab date night was had.
Hotel was beautiful and next to tower bridge,we got upgraded so free refreshments all day (didn't need to buy water whilst out & about) also meant we didn't pay for parking
Went for a late lunch yesterday instead of Brunch to Dishoom in shoreditch- food was fantastic however think I'm spoilt for food in Leicester as a local fave does better lamb chopstried the gunpowder potatoes which were beautiful & the lovely gf told me she can make these easy. Happy kitten!
Back to work today, painter should have popped over today to paint patches etc from snagging so will go round tomorrow evening & take a look.
Payday today but I've locked my internet banking boooooo! Shall call them in the morning and get it sorted so I can do the shuffling to bills and savings. Lots of birthday colllections at work today but took lunch, breakfast & coffees in so only petrol as an additional spend to get to silversmithing class.
Class was ace- used all the scrap silver wire and offcuts to make a pebble pendant- got to pop the loop on next week with solder but am quite pleased with the effectFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Yes, a very frugal pendant last night. I'm itching to start designing the silversmith room but really need the coffers to recover a little first. Have had a quote from the flooring guy who did the rest of the house £200-£250 for the flooring which will be safe & durable. Will start pondering shelving and tabletop space as I'd ideally like an area to put my sewing machine out as and when.
Not yet done the money shuffling- will be a job for tomorrow evening now...need to calculate the costs from the weekend and split them, as well as pay my half for the mirrors from Next.
Hoping to put £200-£250 into savings this month, and once December payday is in sight put a sneaky overpayment in, even if it's just £20!
Slowly using up lots of toiletries- another body lotion all used up finally and a shower gel from the cabinet. Also used an old popcorn from a graze box in my pack up today too!
Managed to snaffle lots of coffee, tea and jams from the weekends hotel stay too which will be great for work and lunches. The jam jars then double up as bead/silver offcut storage too. Win win!
Need to put a small expenses claim through in the morning. Have booked a scrumptious pienight with the friend who built all our wardrobes, it's our thank you so the reclaimed expenses will cover it hopefullylooking forward to a good hearty pie I must say :heartpuls

Naughty cat has meant I've been awake since 3am and unable to fall back asleep. Was planning to work in the office today (Fridays I can sometimes work from home, dependent on meetings etc) but I may stay home so I can lounge a little more comfortably- will decide at 6
Money shuffling completed last night & DD set up for council tax. Sat updating my accounts app for the next few months to try and work on my goals and for a reminder to myself they are:
1: Replenish my emergency fund savings (aiming for £1k)- May 2017. sat at £404.34 with £200 to go in at month end
2: Establish the Christmas budget & stick to it. (Not going into my overdraft for it- I have put £450 into my app from Decembers pay- I'm not sure if that's too much or too little as I have a bigger family to gift for (gf's family) and hoping to have gf's parents & my older brother & gf over
3: overpay £400 by end of April 2017
not yet started- am yougov'g and awaiting quidco £'sclearing
4: pay off my 0% credit card before the rate changes- Sat at £1104.31 as of today- End of April 2017- sat at £1104.31, payment of £125 planned for 3rd Dec
Long meeting day yesterday, and oddly they didn't provide lunch (they do every month for this session) so they took me to sainsburys and encouraged me to get cakes/crisps/bakery stuff as well as sandwich & drink. As they were paying I got some popcorn and Christmas chocs which came home. Popcorn will do for emergency lunch bulking out e.g if I oversleep I can grab as a snack for that day & chrimbo chocs are in the Christmas box :T
No real news on redundancy front- it appears that I'm pooled into a job group where there's enough people for the jobs, however nothing is yet confirmed, think we'll know mid Dec
Need to spend tonight on Download 2017 weekend tickets- need to confirm with friends- as it's a 40th celebration think we are hiring a camper and paying RIP tickets- not MSE but it'll prob be my main holiday next year....First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

NSD today- went to the work canteeen at breakfast but managed to resist and instead I ate my packed yogurt and honey, and then my sandwiches (from Wednesday when I naughtily bought a hot lunch!)
It's been a better week at work- I've had a little more time to breathe and work things though which has meant my overall mood is better.
Last night properly at gf's mum & dads tonight so they are getting us a take away and a night in for us all. Looking forward to a night in and then tomorrow getting everything shifted- lots will need unpacking but it's very exciting.
Dining table and chairs were delivered yesterday so we have more assembly to do, we have the sky man on Wednesday, the French door company on Wednesday and the second sofa on Thursday. Awaiting to hear when the electrician and plumbers will be out from the snagging.
Cat is snoozing on my lap after keeping me up all night- saves me popping the heating on thoughjust watching American horror story and chilling!

De-lurking to say you have a lovely positive diary and your progress has been lovely to follow. Good luck for moving in tomorrow...plan a take away dinner or have something quick to make as you will be shattered! Best of luck.0

Hi there Fay! :hello: thanks for popping by and de-lurking
Thanks for the well wishes too Debtfreeoneday!
This weekend has certainly been busy- yesterday was a NSD again (yay)but today was more expensive- trip to Sainsburys for groceries, new duvet (the one I had was 4.5 tog!!) vouchers for bro-in-laws birthday & coat-hangers.
Shifted all of our clothes from the wardrobes and drawers yesterday, then set about building the dining tables & chairs. We had a lot, and I means lot, of styrofoam & cardboard to break down & bag up. I put a second coat of paint on the larder shelves and then once dry got all of the storage jars away, and plumbed in the two TVs and the sound bar.
Went back to gf's parents for dinner yesterday as we were both shattered! Today we started unpacking the suitcases, bags and all the tubs of clothes, accessories, shoes etc took a lot of time! I sanded down the ceiling where the spots were plumbed in in the living room & hallway. Will add more filler tomorrow, sand again on Tuesday ready for the painter Wednesday.
Sanding the ceiling was a very dusty job, so tested our en-suite ( I feel like a real adult saying that!) shower which was just fab. I have moments where I keep getting really excited & overwhelmed about the house. It's ours :heartpuls:
Lovely gf has had a few emotional moments, as is a huge thing for her moving out from her parents, having moved out when I was 17 with parents who haven't ever taken an interest I've never felt what she's experiencing, so lots of empathy and cuddles for her whilst she deals with the change. She's really happy with the house, just sad to leave home, her parents & the kitty.
Just relaxing in bed ready for a volunteering day tomorrow. Watching master chef professionals on iplayer and really fancying steak! (Hindu gf wouldn't be too impressed though) got a heated wheat bag in bed and a new duvet so lovely & toasty!
