Yes pleaseFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Glad to hear it's not just my fatty ginger kitty TheMadVix
Second laser eye appointment today but this place declined the gf due to her medical info which is a bit sucky but at least the first one will offer her the treatment if she decides to definitely go for it.
I've been offered standard LASIK surgery with wavefront which has the quickest healing time but recovery means no weightlifting for a week, no yoga (heated!) for a month and no swimming for a month which puts a spanner in the lifestyle exercise but short term pain for long term gain. This place was £600 cheaper but will see if the first place can match it as it would make sense for both me and gf to travel to Birmingham together for it (if she decides to go for it). Decisions to be made.
Nicely they both offer interest free credit for 24 months which is a nice bonus as I have enough in savings but would rather reserve that as my emergency funds if I can!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

I tried to send you a pm last night but it doesn't seem to be in my sent items folder. So either your inbox is full, you'll get multiple messages arriving at the same time, or i being particularly dim about the whole process!! May be worth you messaging me and i'll reply?!?!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Update on the laser eye surgery front, after a bit of googling yesterday I found that one of the places has an offer for 15% off but when you click the link there is no discount. I therefore rang that clinic and asked about it which they said they couldn't do as they don't know anything about it but they could offer an additional £500 off (the discount took £508.70 off) so they've pretty much matched it.
This now makes it just over £1200 cheaper than the other clinic, however they are calling gf this morning to discuss how we got on yesterday as think they are keen to secure both of our custom so I'm hoping that they can offer a similar amount as would like for us to go to the same clinic together etc as we'll have to travel to Birmingham for the day
Yoga and gym done this morning and now relaxing with a cuppa and a cuddly Oscar :heartpuls
We foolishly started painting one line of our fence in the garden last night, it then went really overcast and rained  luckily it looks like the paint dried enough that it's not ruined it but means we have one line painted and the other two lines not with people over on Monday afternoon for dinner :rotfl:First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Another gym & yoga session completed today although feeling a little headachey today so think I need a bit more h2o today.
It's a bright sunny day here so we've managed to paint another line of the fencing, only one more left to finish and just under two pots of paint left (had to go and buy four this morning-£54!) gone are the bank holidays of old getting drunk in a beer garden, replaced by similar spends but a weekend of fence paintingI guess this is getting older
Gf has made a nice chunky OP today from her bonus- so a nice £200 overpaid this morning helping us get closer to our target for the year. I'm very conscious we need to reduce our OPs down pre Oz so trying to maximise them now.
I'm very exciting news we are both now booked in for laser eye surgery. The clinic that will treat gf couldn't match my cheapest offer but they did reduce the price pretty dramatically, and to make life easier we have both booked at that clinic for 28th June.
Whilst it wasn't the cheapest (is £300 in total more than the last clinic) I felt very comfortable with all the discussions I have had, all the reviews I have looked up and the fact that the gf and I can have it done same time & place and then do all our aftercare sessions together.
The total cost for me is £3295 down from £4590. It scares me somewhat that they would haggle that much as I probably wouldn't have thought to haggle due to it being a clinical procedure.
Savings has taken a £500 hit though to pay the deposit and have taken out 0% finance for 24 months rather than exhausting the easy access savings pots.
This weekend is therefore going to be a low spend weekend, with a swimming lesson for gf tomorrow (I will do lots of lengths!) and then some friends over on Monday
Oh, and the entertainment has been announced for the Singapore Grand Prix - the killers and Liam Gallagher are the ones I'm excited about with gf looking forward to Dua Lipa, but considering we are going for the racing having a good lineup is a real bonusFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Went swimming yesterday and gfs is going really well, as there was no lesson after hers I was able to join her in the roped off section and we practiced her techniques from the lesson and she's massively gained confidence. I'm managing 30 lengths a time now so getting stronger, I just need to work on getting over putting my head under the water- that's my aim for the next few weeks.
Gym session done today and then a Lidl trip for dinner party supplies for this evening: planning gluten free nachos, build your own chicken breast burgers with masala chips followed by salted caramel brownies. One batch of brownies were made yesterday and turned out quite well, made another batch this afternoon but they have turned out quite gooey so that may be a chocolate brownie mess with ice cream ha :rotfl:
(Picked up some gluten free cake for the gluten free friend as not so sure on the gluten free baking!)
We've managed to sort out the larder cupboard- cleaned it all out and rationalised what we had in there, feels nice and organised now and easy to see what we have.
House is all spick and span so we're just sharing a brownie and having a cuppa before getting washed and ready for this evening, we can thennstart prepping the food.
Really looking forward to tonight, the friends who got married in March are coming over and bringing the wedding video- geekily looking forward to watching it all. They also went to oz for their honeymoon so may get a chance to find out where they went/what he recommend etc.
11 days until Download festival too- :jFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Hey KK
Your dinner party menu sounds delicious! Hope all goes well tonight :-)Starting Balance August 2016: £170,199.00 | Remortgaged August 2018: £212,000.00
Current Balance (15th February 2019): £209,278.85
Target: Balance below £170,000.00 by August 20230 -
Thanks Michael, we had a lovely evening reliving the wedding and everyone seemed to enjoy the food too
This week has passed in a bit of a blur- went back to work this week and it has been pretty hectic! Managed another swimming session with the gf on Wednesday though and managed to conquer the fear of putting my head in the water!!! Just need to keep on practicing it and get used to it so I'm all good for snorkelling etc in Oz.
Booked my annual leav for the laser surgery now, and we're looking at prebooking our train tickets this weekend too so we know we are sorted.
I need to visit my docs to get them to sign some paperwork as I foolishly told the optician that I had work related anxiety last year, so I need the docs to confirm that I'm no longer being treated to it before I can have the surgery. Will try to sort that on Monday if the docs play ball- they can often be a little difficult and lose paperwork etc so we shall see:
I've been trying to use the net worth tracker Shanghai Jimmy kindly sent but it doesn't work on my phone and my work laptop blocks the site so will just have to try and make my own method of tracking it.
Will try and log in later tonight to update my May totals for everything, as we are off kayaking shortly. Signed up for a paddle sports session this morning at an outdoor pursuits place- starts at 9.30am for 1.5hrs so I'm intrigued with how it will go. It was £10 each for the session, hopefully we will have a few gos at it and see if we like it- if we do we can arrange some sea kayaking in Oz. If we don't then we can do something else :rotfl:First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
