General new job requirements for mortgage

Hello all
My family currently lives abroad, and will be moving back to the UK in September. I have been offered a job as managing director of a small company.
We currently own our own place here, and will be selling this to buy somewhere in the UK. We are trying to work out when would be the best time to sell though - which depends largely on how quickly we will qualify for a mortgage, and be able to purchase in the UK.
I will be on a basic wage of GBP 70K, and will have a deposit of around GBP 200K.
Generally speaking, how long will I need to be in my new position before being able to take a mortgage?

Most lenders will require you to be back in the UK for a minimum of 6 months.Slummy mummy!0
