Mortgage application...but one of us is off work sick?

Hi all
Just after some advice.
We've had an offer accepted on a house and have a DIP from HSBC. However things are a bit complicated.
My other half is currently off sick with stress/depression from work, the GP expects him to go back at the start of march once his physical side effects from Meds have settled down. He's still on full pay.
Will this hinder our chances of getting the full mortgage approved?
We're also talking about the possibility of him going part time when he goes back to work...obv will disclose this as a possibility and have done the affordability calculator on hsbc website and it suggests we'd still get the level of mortgage we need-how reliable are those things?

Hi how did the sickness affect the mortgage? We're in a similar situation, OH has been off work for the past two weeks and won't be back for two more weeks due to an operation.0
