You're right and I feel incredibly naive puttin my trust completely in the MS company to fix any problems I might face with these assignments.
It's just I've also learnt the hard way that they will try and screw you over! Particularly avoid a company which has the initials AA. I really put my foot down with them and threatened them with legal action when they refused to pay me and reimburse me for a job. They claimed that apparently I had been recognised as a mystery shopper because I 'appeared nervous'. I can tell you that I carried out that job as I would have any other and there was no way that was the reason. Their ridiculous scenario was what gave me (or anyone away!) The trouble is by the time they refuse to pay you, you've already done the work, made the payment and written the report. I'm sceptical, but I reckon it's their way of getting work done for free when they are short on cash or aren't going to meet their client's requirements. And it feels like we can be powerless against it. I'd advise you to look around on the internet regarding your legal rights. PM me if you want a copy of the letter I once had to send to the MS company, you're welcome to copy and paste if any of it suits your requirements. I can PM it to you.
In a situation like this, I'd happily shop the MS company to O2 if you never want to do any work for them again (which is probably wise if this is how they work!) O2 then might think twice about using them again and they could lose their contract. You could also always use that as a threat, that and contacting the media usually makes these companies jump to it!Minimalist
