I think my days of shopping at Lidl are now numbered - is it worth going out of my way for 3 salad items? Shelving the weekend deals was a bad decision.
The proximity of my nearest Aldi (ie 7 mins by foot) and price and variety of food makes Aldi the clear winner, for me.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I totally agree with you. The half price weekend deals kept me going to Lidl. I have not been there since they finished them.
I think lidl is going to suffer because they are going to lose many customers. Win for Aldi, of course. VERY bad decision, lidl!0 -
Yes agree, just another supermarket now, no bargains I can see.
Pork at £6.63 kg. ????0 -
Diaried to try and get a couple of lamb shanks on the morning of the 11th. Hopefully, the minted ones will still be available. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

I agree, since Lidl stopped the half price weekend meat we have not been once. More people need to tell them on Twitter @LidlA watched pot always boils. :j0

Thursday seems to be the new Saturday. So for me with Wednesday and Saturday being market days, have to add in another trip for possible bargains at Lidl.
Might be worth the effort, see what comes. Noticed the cheap electric toothbrushes (£4 something) for tomorrow. Seeds on sale 29p for the cheapest but no parsnips, no turnips, no swede.0 -
It's the withdrawal of Grafenwalder that has affected my custom. Annoying to have to go to Aldi for a Pils as it is fifty percent dearer and one hundred and fifty percent farther away.0

Can't see how the weekly offers are worse.
You are getting 2 or 3 meat/fish deals now a week with some other fruit/veg and bits and bobs. Has been far better (and it means when I'm most busiest at weekends I don't have to worry now about going then).PK! :money:0 -
I'm quite glad they stopped the half price offers.............
found myself buying lots of "naughty" things just cos they were cheap!!!
these offers are better for all us slimmers!!:)Best headline ever on local paper??
