no way £40 i got a john lewis one for £50 reduced from £150 that had loads more and full bottles of wine bad deal

Don't overlook the actual wicker basket itself - they are generally quite pricy and this looks a good quality one. I think that overall this is a bargain.

I would say including the basket it could be £80-£100 of realistic value. £250 seems mad. £40 is an OK price IF you will eat/use the stuff inside. There is 22 items including the basket, so it works out less than £2 an item, which is very cheap for the wine, but a fair price for jam & tea. So if you won't use the wine, it is not value at all!
