Good idea and I hope it is implemented (not holding my breath though!). Having a period of grace to enable people to sort out finances after sickness, unemployment etc and freezing interest would be of enormous help to those who are struggling with too much unsecured debt. It is madness for people to pay unsecured debt and then not have enough money to buy food or pay for utilities.

I also do think though we are going back to a period of freely available unsecured debt and many people are living beyond their means. Financial education is badly needed in this country and a savings ethic needs to be reintroduced.
