I can't RT some comp tweets as it's too long. On my phone I have a 140 limit. How do the original tweeters manage longer tweets then?

I'm not certain but it might be because when you RT you are adding text to the original tweet - not intentionally but because of the way Twitter is designed. Also, some links change when RT'd making the tweet longer.

I can't find that particular tweet now but it was part of a gleam and the text to tweet is already set out for you with a url to follow (which takes up a lot of space). It has happened before and I just left it. I didn't want to take out any words as then it would be incomplete.0

Ah I know what you mean, I've seen it before, that's an error on their part. You could try messaging them to let them know - not that I've been bothered when I've seen it. If it's only a few characters and it doesn't change the tweet much I've edited it a bit to make it 140. i don't think they do i think its a script on gleam/rafflecopter and the specified text is put in on there rather than on twitter and then when you click it fills the tweet for you, bit like when you click on some email links and it fills the to:, subject and body of email xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
