Credit Rating

Well after nearly 4 years in a Stepchange DMP I am ready to clear my final debt to my creditor. What a fantastic feeling at last, it has been tough along the way.

I will clear the debt tomorrow.

Now, how long will it take for my credit file rating to start lifting off the floor, obviously I don't want to get anymore loans etc but just having a decent rating after all this time makes you feel human again rather than an outcast.

Do you have defaults? If so, these take six years from the date of default to drop off your file.


It must be so exciting to be debt-free;)

Just checked my Noodle page and the last debt I am clearing isn't even listed on there. However it was last time I checked. Everything on Noddle is saying "Ok upto date" part from two which states "Satisfied".

Zopa which are my last creditor have never actually Defaulted me.
