welcome finance

Were do I start.
We got a welcome finance loan pre 2004. £5,500 we struggled but nearly got there. wet a top up of another £5,000 but I lost my job and couldn't afford the £360 a month so went in to try and sort things out, that's were it really started. sign here we'll help you. then a few months again sign here and here we will fill it out and sort it. We eventually were going bankrupt and paid them £400 to come of them being secured but, that disappeared (a few years later even though they couldn't find any record of it out the goodness of there heart they took it of our balance) any way in 2008 I got a letter saying we were due them £84,000 I went mental went down to there offices had a big argument with the manager. they eventually said there was a problem and would sort it this went on for months and months till I eventually refused to pay a penny more till they did. over a year passed and they went bust. or what ever happened. I got some letters in saying I was due them over £25,000 I cant remember because every time I got a letter the amount changed. For the past two years I've been paying £20 per month. every now and then they call and I tell them I want them to look into my statements and loans and they promise they will but never do. but out the blue in feb 2015 they gave me a £7,653.95 credit of my account so it went from £20960 to £13306 but same again I haven't had any word of them looking into this for me as this £20 odd thousand pounds seemed to appear from no where one day that's what we were due and that seemed to be that. and I feel I will be paying this till I die, at 50yrs I don't know which will come first. (ha)
Can anyone tell me what I should do to solve all this once and for all. We said our starting amount was around £11,000 but they don't seem to have any records of this. nether do we now as we gave it all to the guy at CAB and he bloody retired a few years ago and so did our letters.

Sorry, I couldn't follow most of that.

But it seems you need to ask them for a breakdown of figures and make a formal complaint if they can't supply them.

Perhaps get someone you trust to write a clear letter, explaining your query, so as to avoid any misunderstanding.
