Looking at btl mortgage but on 0hrs contract

Basically as title says. On 0hrs contract with council.
Would this be a problem?
my current residential mortgage is on a self certified basis. This is 10th old so not sure these even on offer anymore.

I'm in Scotland if that makes any difference.

    If you can provide proof of income for the past X years you should be treated like a self employed applicant I would have thought
