Any mortgage experts? quick question...

Hi,
I've a question about mortgages if there's anyone that can help please? (I do have a financial adviser but they're away at the minute).
Having given our figures to our F A she has given us some provisional amounts we can borrow. However my question is this. I currently work in Exeter and my boyfriends in Leicester, I want to move to Leicester where we want to buy a place (currently renting in Exeter).
The figures we have been given as to what we can borrow have obviously take into account what I earn in my job here, this is a job I'm going to have to give up when I move.
How would this affect what they will lend us? Will they look at the location of where you work and think along the lines that I will be unemployed when I've moved?
I work as a nurse and am signed up with agencies and there is a lot of work available when I've moved so I'm not worried that I will be unemployed just how my situation will affect what we can be lent from the banks,
First time buyers so fairly clueless...
thanks
Clare.

If you already know your giving up your job to do temp work then that's what you tell them when they ask if you are aware of any financial changes in the foreseeable future.
Chances are your income will not be used in the lenders calculations.
Best way round this is to get a transfer in the NHS, or to get a new contract in Leicester prior to movingI am a Mortgage Adviser
