Hello
I'm not sure if I have posted in the correct place.
I currently have a DMP with step change which is all going fine. However, they have had a payment returned from intrum justitia and advised they are no longer dealing with this since October, I have heard nothing about this and want to know where the outstanding debt has gone? I'm assuming that they had an old address. Trying to contact intrum justitia is virtually impossible and am really worried with what has happened to the outstanding amount/who is dealing with this. I have just cleared myself from defaults and don't want any more or ccj. Has anyone experienced this or have any advice at all? I am going out of my mind with worry
Thanks in advance

You will need to ring the company and ask them who now owns the debt.0

Hello
Thanks for0 -
Thanks for the reply.
I am having difficulty contacting them or I would have done this. There doesn't seem to be a relevant/in use contact number
Does anyone know how to contact intrum justitia?0 -
Googled them but I'm not allowed to post the link!.
Alternatively, just wait for the new company to contact you and then pass it into the DMP company. They should hold the payments back and make the back payments once you know.0 -
Again thanks for the reply.
I have also Googled them and like I said the numbers do not work that I found. I have also emailed them and not heard anything. I have moved house and doubt they have my new address. I surely can't be the only person this has happened to with intrum justitia?0 -

Hi,
Are you having your post forwarded from your old address ?
Its likely the debt has been sold on, or re-assigned, sooner or later the new owner of the debt will be in touch with you, but will use the address details they hold for you, likely to be your old address.
You need to be careful as its a classic potential scenario for a CCJ to be issued by default because of an incorrect address.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
