looking for a house to buy and possibly changing jobs

a first time buyer, i've been searching for a place for a couple of months. Saw something yesterday that I'm considering making an offer on. However, I've also been invited to a job interview. I'm now wondering - what happens if I get offered this new job and find a place I want to buy at the same time? Will it be impossible to get a mortgage and will I have to pick one or the other?

I have been employed consistently for the last decade, been in my current job for 2.5 years, have a really good credit rating (checked my report recently). The salary for the new job is almost the same as my current salary.

I may not even get the job but I just wondered if I'm potentially going to have to make a tough choice - great new job or first home? or whether there is a way to have both?!
thanks.

It depends on the lender, and the job.

If its well managed it doesn't need to be a problem
