Postal Comps?

I've not long started comping and was wondering if many people do the postal comps? If so how many do you do and have you had any wins?
Thanks!

I probably enter between 20 and 30 postals a month and usually get at least 2 wins a month but I'm including entry forms in there as well x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I usually enter for £1,000+, or something I really want to win like a weekend away, and have rubbish luck. I won a £20 coin once as they were giving loads away, and I won £500 Wickes vouchers which was a fabulous win, but that's been about it.

You can get a rough idea of who's entered by how many tick the 'thanks' button. Not a true indicator, but compared to the comps on the board, it's a much smaller number (unless it's a big ITV one!).

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your replies all!

I did wonder whether they were as popular because not many ticks next to them. Obviously you have to spend money on stamps so i've bought some 2nd class ones and entered a few for money and holidays etc. Cheaper than texting in.

Fingers crossed then. It's always nice to hear when others have had wins. :)

  • I enter loads of them because I get regular free stamps. I've only had one win, but it was my best win in five years - £1000 of Selfridges vouchers.

The ITV ones are definitely worth a punt in my opinion. Someone has to win, and it's cheaper than a lottery ticket!
  • Did them last year. Had a very successful year... on everything but the postals. Didn't win a think. Not doing them this year.

I haven't won anything but I only tend to enter the ones that are of value.. the ITV/holiday ones. Occasionally i'll enter a smaller postal one but generally just stick to the big ones. Chances of winning are slim but for the price of a couple of 2nd class stamps, i'll take a chance :D

I enter about 2/3 postal comps a week, usually big ones like The Gadget Show etc,

I have never won from a postal entry - but a friend won £1000 of vouchers, so it can be done.
    Wishing you all good luck!

It's nice to hear of some wins from postcards. some comps are postcards only so obviously this is the only way to win.

But the ones where you enter via postcard or phone/text (big itv comps) I feel there's next to no chance of a postcard win. Anyone know if there's any truth in this?
