Making money from Website

Does anyone make money from a website that they have. I have a couple of ideas and can build the website but just wanted to know if it's worth it.

Have a look a few pages further down, there are quite a few threads on this that seem to get a bit of activity now and again, then go quiet.0

Surely it depends very much on the idea?
I could open a retail shop tomorrow, but its what i'm selling that makes the money.
So just because someone else has a successful website doesnt mean you will, and vice versa0 -
I have 2 blogs which i use with google adsense, while its not mega money, its an extra income, i made £34 in the last 2 days with add revenue.0
