Wood storage shed with doors

Hi all -
Last summer I purchased a wood storage shed - the normal kind without doors - and in all this rain we've had my wood is absolutely soaked! I'm considering putting some doors on after not being able to find any that have doors, and I'm wondering if there's a reason for that? Do doors cause mouldiness or something?
Thanks!

Just drape a tarp over the logs ??
Cheers

You can get them with doors. These doors should have reasonable gaps in them to allow the air to get in and blow around the logs though.0

Thanks both. I'm looking for something for permanent and pleasing to the eye than the tarp, but it's a good temporary solution. Slatted doors sound a good compromise - thanks!0

If you put doors on that don't allow enough air circulation the logs will rot. Just bring them in a few hours before you need to allow them to dry off. As long as they are well seasoned shouldn't be a problem.0

Are you stacking your wood bark out?
Makes a huge difference
We just stack along side the garage wall under tha car potpoet. As long as the bark is outside it really don't matter how much rain or snow we get. It's the wind blowing through that dries them0 -
The one thing that's more important than keeping the rain off is good ventilation. So if you do put doors on, they really must have ventilation.
I once tried to store some damp logs in my garage. After they had been stored for a few weeks, they started to go mouldy. I had never seen so many different colours of fungus before - yellows, oranges, even purples. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Rian wont penetrate right through the logs, it is actually very good for making the wood harder and burns better, just put them inside for a few weeks before needing used as will be fine0

If it's been raining, I just grab the logs at the back of the log store, because they are dryer. I leave the ones at the front for when it's been dry.
I also keep several days' supply indoors, so I don't have to go out and get logs in the rain.If it sticks, force it.
