Move on to another property with bigger mortgageHopefully overpay my mortgage as much as I can (up to 10% each year) for the next 2 years.... I'll probably switch to a Base Rate tracker mortgage after that (fee free, and no overpayment limit), as I would be looking to start looking at moving on at some point after that.0

Start putting money towards a pensionMy plans over the next 3 years are to pay off my mortgage and build up my pension pot to £100k. Quite a challenge, but if I achieve it I will have financial security pretty much for the rest of my life. Not bad for just 3 years of effort

Currently, none of the things in the poll really apply to me. I'm already paying into various pensions and my mortgage is now cleared.
I suppose I'm waiting for the bottom of the next housing cycle, but I see this as being more than 1 to 2 years away.
I certainly wouldn't look at BTL during the next 2 years - Buy To Lose more like.Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)0 -
Start putting money towards a pensionThat is a good question. When will the market bottom out? Could be another poll. :-)0

Start putting money towards a pensionNo one seems to want to downsize so far, and be mortgage free. I feel another poll coming on. :rotfl:0

Buy a BTL propertyuk007bulldog-are you aware you can pick more than one option in your poll-was that intentional?0

On a more serious note, I dont understand what this poll will achieve, surely the fact that we are all members of MSE shows we all want to either (1) save (2) reduce loans/credit cards/debts (3) pay of mortgage etc etc-or am I missing something?0 -
Start putting money towards a pensionExactly, but some people are here just for the social side of things.
Maybe I should have asked "what big spending plans do you have coming up until Christmas or middle of next year?"
Whops.... I feel another poll coming up. Maybe I do have too much time on my hands but dinner is on the cooker and I do have a few minutes to spare.0
