Where have the soap flakes gone?

It appears that the last pack of Granny's soap flakes was sold on Amazon last week. Can't find it anywhere else. I know the DP brand has been discontinued. I'm sensitive and soap flakes usually were ok. There is a liquid version but that makes me itch. Can't cope with fragranced products or Surcare. It seems no one in the UK is making plain soap flakes anymore. Unless anyone knows different?

Slightly despairing.

I've just gone to Amazon and added a box of Granny's soapflakes to my basket without any problems.

Not that I really want any.

When I finished looking a few minutes ago, the product was unavailable, but there was a box with the image of Granny's, but it was "boxed" by a company I am not familiar with. (Granny's was made by DP). I've contacted the seller to see who boxed it. Why box something already in a box? But if it is the original, then I'm happy.

Are you sure you didn't buy pure soap flakes boxed by ???? Are you happy it was boxed hygienically by a company who deals with personal products (as opposed to toys and electrics?)
  • It appears still available from craft shops

There are soap flakes and soap flakes. I saw those and they are not Granny's or DP, where I know the ingredients. (It takes a few to make soap flakes). Thanks for looking but I'm not sure about soap flakes for crafting. (I know it's used to entertain children.)

I spotted these in Yorkshire Trading a few weeks ago, will check if they still have them.

If the product is discontinued would you be able to grate normal soap such as simple and use that?

My normal soap has too much moisturiser in it and that leaves its own stain.

I saw laundry soap on amazon but people noted it smells dreadful.

The makers stopped making them last year May. And googling didn't identify anything at Boots. But thanks for the idea.
