i have found 2 letter at home which say

the second letter says

    the 'normal ' tax code for this year 2015-16 should be 1060L.
    if your pay slip shows something different then phone HMRC and explain the situation
    it may be you owe back tax from the previous year but you ought to have a notice of coding explaining that.

    if you want any advice about year 1014-15 or 2013-14 or 2012-13 then you will need to give us more information about each tax year
  • i wouldnt no where to get my other tax codess from, its just that ive not been on the same tax code for very long

    from what you say you have had two tax code in two tax years : this is normal for all people

    what is odd is what you report about your pay slip and your notice of coding;
    phone HMRC

    That's not what your OP says. The other code you mentioned was for 2014/15.

    So what codes have you had for 2015/16 and in what order?

    You need to improve your record keeping. Every change of tax code is accompanied by a P2 Coding Notification. Your posts are very unclear about what codes you have had when, but if your current code is really 823L then you should definitely have a P2 for that as it's a big change from the standard code.

    You had overlapping jobs in the 2012/13 tax year. This is quite likely to have caused an under payment of tax in that year. You really need to gather all your employment paperwork together and figure out what has gone on.

    You should have had P60s from your current employment for tax year ends 5th April 2013,2014 & 2015. Also you should have a P45 from the military in 2012. I suggest you post here the figures including tax code that are on those P60s & also the P45. If you don't have the P60s then the last payslip for the year would be helpful.

    I do hope you have kept all the 'STUFF' HMRC have sent you as they do not do junk mail.
