My bf gave me Heinz beaked beans and the weekend and I didn;t like them as much as I like Tesco Value ones...
Anyone else prefer the cheap version to an expensive version of something?

Hi there
Strangely enough before we got married, hubby would only eat heinz
... but in this last year i have stopped having them, they seem to be half sauce (and i hate sloppy beans , so i have to drain them) and what is in there is awfull...i used to like morrisons beans..
I also like the own brand version of low fat philladelphia.... and out here you should see some of the flavours you can get!!!! my favourite has horseraddish in mmmmmm-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
For me the Heinz ones were too tomatoey - I don;t really like tomatoes so the Tesco ones, which taste more of the beans, are perfect, although quite runny but I don;t mind as it is nice on toast for them not to be too dry. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

oooohhhh i cant stand runny...
My hubby laughs at me because i cant have beans on toast...i have my beans in a dish and my toast seperate:rotfl:
But then again i cant stand biscuits being dunked in tea or bread being dipped in soup...eughhhh
Hubby is getting used to me...i dont know why im like it...if i do a stir fry i find myself sorting all the veg out into its own little piles as i eat it, i cant stand cooked breakfasts unless i do my own - so i can keep everything seperate:o ... im sure a therapist would have a field day with me :rotfl: :rotfl:-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
This talk of beans and different brands reminds me of the time I was a cub scout leader and we were at camp. For breakfast, we did beans, bacon and toast. As the pan of beans went along the ranks of the young ones, one or two would say 'Are they Heinz? I only eat Heinz'. And then others would say 'are they Cross and Blackwell, I only eat...' etc.
The answer would be 'yes those on this side of the pan are Heinz, those on that side are C&B etc. etc.
The little darlings were always convinced and ate them all up regardless of the fact they were catering tins of some totally unknown brand.
Were we so terribly naughty telling such lies?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
