in Cutting tax
I'm with a recruitment agency who deduct the tax and NI from my gross pay and pay me the net pay. I'd just like to check they're deducting the right amount! Can anyone tell me how to work it out please? I looked at the sticky threads but couldn't find what I needed to know.

Earnings between £100 per week and £670 per week deduct 11%
Earnings above £670 deduct 1%.
Example:
Weekly pay £224
NI payable (£224-£100)*11%=£13.64
Weekly pay £700
NI payable (£670-£100)*11%+(£700-£670)*1%=£63.000 -
Thank you, that works out right, just out by a few pence each month on what my agency have actually taken for my NI contribution. And they're right to take 11% of my gross pay, not of after tax pay?0
