can anyone tell me what holiday offset means on a wage slip please

    It means exchanging holiday entitlement for more pay if on he income side, or taking extra holiday at the cost of pay if on the deductions side.

    Unless when they see it they use it as an excuse not to give you a mortgage; I wouldn't put it past them.

    thanks we are remortgaging and they have asked for wage slips and have asked us to explain what holiday offset means on the wage slip
    so what do i tell them that they can undrstand thks;)

    Why were the circumstances for the adjustment to be made?
  • dont know everytime the wife take a holiday or a couple of days of it appears that way on wage slip
  • and she has been there 10yrs+ always been the same that i can remember

    Ask your wife's payroll to clarify?

    I receive an extra payment when taking a holiday due to a "loss of income" from overtime I can't work whilst on holiday.
  • yes thanks i have done they have just said it means holiday pay is slightymore than normal pay but th bank want more info
