P11 incorrect benefits in kind

Hi All,

I'm really hoping someone can help me with this as I'm at my wits end! I received my P11 form from a former employee (just after I stopped working there). The form states that I received £4,799 benefits in kind which was incorrect as I didn't receive any benefits from them at all which they agree to as do their accountants.

I have written to HMRC (4 months ago now) and I've called them about 6 times and have gotten NO WHERE. I have now been told that my ex-employer has the responsibility of re-issuing this and they are refusing any responsibility and said it's up to HMRC to sort.

I feel like I'm now going back and forth on this and I'm getting no where one is blaming the other and I really do not want to owe this tax.

Thanks,
Kirsty
