RM Track & Signature - parcel missing

Can anyone help me with a Royal Mail query please? I'd like to find the name of someone I can email, speak to about a missing parcel sent to the wrong country. It should have gone to Malta but was sent to Zurich. I can't get anywhere with the RM website.
I posted the parcel, paid Track and Signature, to family living in Malta on 12th January. It hasn't arrived. I have done the usual checks with the number and it arrived at a London Airport early the following morning, 13th. I contacted RM by Twitter who were very helpful and said the parcel had been received and shows it was on its way to the destination. I contacted Malta post and after a few exchanging of emails in the past week yesterday I received a flight chart progress of my parcel............London had sent it to Zurich?? I'm now stuck as RM say I can't do anything until 8th February which is because you have to wait so many days after posting. Many thanks for any suggestions anyone may have.

Is it missing or has it just been misrouted. If it's the latter, it will eventually find it's way to the intended destination. If it is missing, then you will have to wait until the limit to claim is reached.

Have you checked the full tracking?

If the item is misrouted to Zurich,then it should/will get rerouted either back to the UK or direct to Malta depending on the routes.
Until it gets a scan at one of those mail hubs. The tracking wont update.

UPDATE: All Sorted.
I contacted Zurich asking if they could help. By last night the tracking updated to: sent to Malta and at 10.30am this morning it was duly delivered to family. All intact and nothing damaged. Not sure if Zurich found it and sent back to UK but assuming they did.
