I had a personal loan in 2007 to cure some healthily problem with RBS, and i was paying normal until in 2009 i got unfairly dismissal from a big Oil and Gas company, i didn't now what to do because I'm not english. From 2010 i couldn't make the repayment, i was unemployed until 2012 which after I had a job on low wage, still can't afford to pay until now.
Of Course it does effect on my credit score.
My life is very hard i cannot do anything anymore.
The Outstanding now is £10790.
I hope to get some help or good advice
Best Regard
Michele

Hi Michele,
If you have not paid this loan since 2009 then it may now be statute barred.
There is a law in England called the "limitations act 1980".
basically a creditor has 6 years to take you to court for non payment, if they haven't done that already, then the time for doing so has now run out, and you may not have to pay it.
Of course you need to be sure of the date you last paid it, but from what you've said, it's looking like it's statute barred.
