Just read that the new store by me is gonna be an Extra.
Has anyone got any tips to look out for, such as opening offers?
Are new stores normally coupon friendly or strict?
Any views apreciated.

you must remember, when new stores open usually the management transfer from other branches,so if they had a policy in other stores, they are likely to follow it in a new one0

If the new store has a clothing department they might have money off total spend clothing coupons, well worth looking out for. Also if it is a big store with a pharmacy counter, that is where a lot of coupon booklets are piled.
We had a small Safeway locally and when Tesco took it over it also took on a lot of the staff and these still stick ridgidly to the old Safeway coupon policy of only taking 10% off in coupons off the bill. So it might depend where the staff have worked previously how many coupons they might take.
Also in a town close to us there is a Tesco and Asda close to each other and both have a very fixed 10% off rule for coupons so I think this has been agreed between themselves“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
When my local store opened, right from the start all coupons were refused unless you bought the itemThere will always be:
A “LIE” in BELIEVE, an “OVER” in LOVER, an “END” in FRIEND, an “US” in TRUST , and an “IF” in LIFE0 -

I work at Tesco and we have all just had to re-read the Tesco coupon policy because everyone had been told differently about what our policy is. The policy clearly states that we accept up to 100% of the total shop in coupons as long as a) only one type of each coupun if the product has not been bought b) Tescos must stock the product c) It is not a coupon specifically for a competing store unless its a money off total shop. Im thinking about trying to scan the document would this be of help to people? cause im sure its a policy for all Tescos not just my store.0

It would be geat if you could scan this as there does seem to be different policies depending on which till person you use or which supervisor they ask.
Thanks for the advice as it is useful to know.
:jBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
